Eyebrow & Eyelash Tinting

Pre

  • Please ensure you have no makeup on.
  • If you wear contact lenses, be sure to take them out before the procedure and they can be reinserted the next day.

Post

  • If any redness or irritation occurs apply a damp cotton wool compress.
  • Avoid eye make up for 12 hours.
  • Avoid touching/rubbing your eyes straight after application.
  • Do not have a hot showers or use a sauna, steam room or swimming pool for 24 hours.
  • Your eyelash tint should last 3-4 weeks and your eyebrow tint 2-3 weeks.
Lash Lift Perming
  • Arrive without eye makeup.
  • Avoid wetting, heating, steaming or makeup on lashes for 24 hours after your appointment.
  • Lash perming is not available for lash extensions.
  • Results should last 6-8 weeks.
Waxing

Pre

  • Please arrive with clean skin (no moisturiser and preferably no makeup). Wipes are provided to freshen up prior to intimate and underarm waxing.
  • Do not use any lotion or oil on the skin on the day of the waxing.
  • If you are particularly sensitive or is this is your first wax, you may wish to take a Panadol or Nurofen 30-60 minutes prior to your appointment to take the edge of any discomfort.
  • Wait 2 weeks after any IPL or Laser treatment before waxing.
  • Please advise us if you have been taking accutane or steroidal medication, or any other medication that thins the skin.
  • Avoid applying Retin A, AHAs, or glycolic acids for 4 weeks prior to waxing.
  • Waxing can be completed at least 4 weeks post any superficial or medium depth peel and at least 3 months post surgery.
  • Do not wax if your skin is irritated, or if you have any active conditions or infections in the area such as rashes, cuts, eczema or coldsores.
  • Avoid too much sun exposure a day or two before your appointment.

Post

  • The skin can take 48-72 hours to relax post wax.
  • It is recommended to wear loose fitting clothing after waxing until the skin has calmed.
  • Avoid perfumes, antiperspirants and colognes in the area until the skin has calmed.
  • Avoid pools, saunas, the gym, and hot tubs until your skin has calmed down.
  • Keep showers warm but not too hot and do not engage in any vigorous exercise or sun exposure.
  • Use sun protection.
  • Do not exfoliate for 48-72 hours and avoid any treatments in the area for approximately a week.
  • Once the area has returned to normal, gently exfoliate each day using a suitable exfoliating wash or gentle loofah and apply a moisturiser or after-wax lotion.
  • Waxing appointments are generally booked 4-6 weeks apart.
Spray Tans

Pre

  • Aim to book your tan 1-2 days prior to your event for the best results.
  • If you wax, please ensure this is done 48-72 hrs prior to your tan.
  • If you shave, please ensure this is done the night before your tan, and apply moisturiser afterwards.
  • Thoroughly exfoliate the skin prior to your tan appointment (complete this in the shower you have on the day of your appointment).
  • Avoid moisturiser, lotions or body scrubs that leave an oily residue on the day of your appointment.
  • Bring loose clothing to your appointment to wear after your tan.

Post

  • The spray tan formula contains a bronzer as an application guide which will wash of in the first two showers – do not be concerned if the tan application seems uneven, the bronzer will wash off in the shower.
  • Our Naked Tan are 2 hour Tans, unless you are having the 20min Rapid Tan, you do not need to sleep overnight in these tans.
  • Have fast, cooler showers if you wish to maximise longevity.
  • Moisturise daily.
  • Wear SPF sunblock every day – tan does not have sun protection.
  • To help the tan fade evenly, exfoliate every 3 days with a tan-specific exfoliant.
  • Use a tan remover mitt when you are ready to remove the tan.
Lash Extensions

Pre

  • Please wear no eye makeup to your appointment.

Post  

  • Avoid getting your lashes wet within the first 24 hours after application.
  • For the first 48 hours after, avoid swimming, saunas, or steam rooms.
  • Avoid oil based eye products.
  • Do not pick, pull or rub your lashes.
  • Avoid using mascaras that are not formulated for lash extensions.
  • Do not use an eyelash curler, perm, or tint your lashes.
  • If you experience any signs of irritation contact us immediately. You could be experiencing an allergic reaction to the extensions and need them removed.
  • It is recommended you return for your touch up approximately 2-3 weeks after, to replace any outgrown lashes.
IPL Hair Removal

Pre

  • Do not wax, pluck, use depilatory creams or have electrolysis 4 weeks prior to your appointment and also in between appointments.
  • Do not use prescription strength exfoliant creams (Retin-A & Alpha Hydroxy) for 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
  • Do not shave for 2 weeks prior to your appointment, however you are required to shave the night before.
  • Avoid tanning (self-tan or sun exposure) 4 weeks prior to you appointment.

Post

  • A mild sunburn sensation is normal and should resolve 2-3 hours after the appointment but can last up to 2 days.
  • Avoid sun exposure.
  • Shower/bathe as normal, treatment areas may be sensitive.
  • Avoid strongly scented lotions/soaps or aggressive scrubbing.
  • Allow any blistered areas to heal spontaneously.
  • ‘Stubble’ may appear in areas 1-4 weeks after, this is not regrowth and this hair will fall out on its own.
  • Do not pluck or tweeze, you may continue to shave.
  • Best results are obtained when you have your follow up appointment immediately after the hair starts to regrow.
IPL Pigmentation

Post

  • A mild sunburn sensation is normal and should resolve 2-24 hours after the appointment but can last up to 72 hours.
  • Mild swelling/redness may accompany this, lasting 2-3 days.
  • The lesion may look raised/darker.
  • You can apply cool/ice compress to treatment areas.
  • The lesion will gradually turn darker over the next 24-48 hours.
  • The lesion will progress to scabs/crusting and will begin flaking off over the next 2-3 days, healing in 7-10 days and fading over 2-4 weeks.
  • Direct sunlight must be avoided.
  • Daily application of SPF30 is recommended.
IPL Vascular

Post

  • A mild sunburn sensation is normal and should resolve 2-24 hours after the appointment but can last up to 72 hours.
  • Mild swelling/redness may accompany this, lasting 2-3 days.
  • You can apply cool/ice compress to treatment areas.
  • The vessels undergo immediate greying/blanching.
  • Vessels partially or fully resolve in about 10-14 days.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALL IPL TREATMENTS

Until redness has completely resolved, you must avoid:

  • Applying cosmetics.
  • Swimming
  • Hot tubs.
  • Vigorous exercise.
  • Sun exposure.
Clinical Peels

Pre peel

You must stop, discontinue or not have any of the following treatments

  • Prescription topical Retin A
  • Home needling

2 weeks prior

  • Waxing, bleaching or hair dying in areas to be treated
  • Depilatory use in any treated area
  • IPL/Laser Hair removal treatments
  • IPL/Laser skin rejuvenation
  • Sun exposure to area to be treated
  • Facial treatments of any kind
  • Microdermabrasion/ Epidermal levelling
  • Hair colour or treatments of any type
  • Dermal fillers

4 weeks prior

  • IPL/laser skin rejuvenation
  • In clinic needling

3-6 months prior

  • Medical needling
  • Fractional ablative laser resurfacing
  • TCA or Phenol deep peeling
  • Facelift surgery

6-12 months prior

  • Roaccutane
  • Full ablative laser resurfacing

Post Peel

You must stop, discontinue or not have any of the following treatments

For 24 hrs post treatment

  • Exercise (avoid overheating)
  • Bathing or showering

For 5-10 days post treatment

  • Exfoliating products
  • Products not recommended by skin specialist
  • Home needling
  • Anti wrinkle injections
  • Prescription topical Retin A
  • Sun exposure to area treated

2 weeks post treatment

  • Waxing, bleaching or hair dying in areas to be treated
  • Depilatory use in any treated area
  • IPL/Laser Hair removal treatments
  • IPL/Laser skin rejuvenation
  • Sun exposure to area to be treated
  • Facial treatments of any kind
  • Microdermabrasion/ Epidermal levelling
  • Dermal fillers
  • Electrolysis on treatment area

4 weeks post treatment

  • IPL/laser skin rejuvenation
  • AHA, BHA, Vitamin A or TCA superficial to deep peels
  • Needling
  • Fractional Ablative laser resurfacing
  • Facelift surgery
